Our expertise and hands-on experience allow us to advise customers on the selection of materials and semi-finished products that best meet their specific requirements.
Polyurethane compounds
HPU polyurethane semi-finished materials are high-quality stock shapes designed for further machining into precision sealing components. They are developed using advanced material engineering and carefully selected raw materials to ensure consistent performance and reliable processing in industrial manufacturing.
HPU materials provide excellent mechanical and tribological properties, strong resistance to chemicals and moisture, and stable performance across a wide range of operating conditions. Key characteristics include high strength, outstanding wear resistance, low internal energy loss, and sustained flexibility, enabling the production of durable and reliable sealing elements.
The advanced formulation incorporates polymer-based lubricating additives that support smooth machining, high-quality surface finishes, and controlled sliding behavior in the final seals. These properties make HPU semi-finished products an ideal base material for precision machined sealing solutions.
HPU stock materials are suitable for use in hydraulic systems, water and subsea environments, food and beverage processing, and demanding industrial applications where material reliability and machining consistency are critical. Available in various colors and stock formats, HPU is specifically engineered for the production of custom-made, machined sealing components.
Rubber compounds
Our rubber semi-finished materials are high-quality stock compounds designed for further machining into precision lathe-cut sealing components. The materials are selected to ensure consistent processing, stable material properties, and long service life of the finished seals.
NBR rubber stock materials are well suited for applications involving contact with oils, fuels, and various industrial fluids. They offer reliable mechanical performance, balanced elasticity, and dependable operation, making them a common choice for automotive and aerospace sealing solutions.
EPDM rubber semi-finished products are characterized by excellent resistance to weathering, ozone, and UV exposure. Their ability to withstand hot water and steam makes them suitable for cooling, heating, and other systems exposed to environmental influences and temperature fluctuations.
FPM stock materials are engineered for highly demanding environments where aggressive chemicals, fuels, and oils are present. They provide outstanding chemical and thermal stability while maintaining mechanical integrity under continuous load.
MVQ, or silicone rubber semi-finished materials, are known for their exceptional flexibility and stability across a wide operating range. Being physiologically inert, they are suitable for food, medical, and pharmaceutical applications. In addition, MVQ materials offer good insulating properties and resistance to ozone and UV radiation.
All rubber semi-finished materials are available in various stock shapes and dimensions and are optimized for precision machining into custom-made sealing solutions.
Plastic compounds
Our plastic semi-finished materials provide a reliable foundation for manufacturing technically demanding components and precision-machined sealing elements. The portfolio includes carefully selected engineering thermoplastics and composite materials designed to meet a wide range of industrial requirements.
Key materials include POM and PA (polyamide or nylon), both recognized engineering thermoplastics known for their excellent mechanical performance. They offer high load-bearing capability, outstanding wear resistance, good sliding characteristics, and dependable operation even under limited or intermittent lubrication. These properties make them well suited for guide elements, backup rings, and other functional components.
In addition to standard thermoplastics, the range also includes rigid fabric-based composites and UHMW-PE, further expanding application possibilities. These materials are engineered for applications requiring exceptional wear resistance, stable sliding properties, and extended service life.
Plastic semi-finished materials can be seamlessly combined with various sealing systems to create complete solutions for demanding applications involving high loads, dynamic stresses, and increased reliability requirements. They are available in different stock shapes and dimensions and are optimized for precision machining.
PTFE compounds
PTFE semi-finished materials are among the most chemically and thermally resistant plastic materials and provide a reliable base for machining precision sealing and guiding components. The material is well known for its exceptional resistance to a wide range of aggressive media, making it suitable for use in food-related and process industry applications.
PTFE offers excellent sliding properties and performs reliably under limited or completely dry running conditions. As a result, it is widely used for seals and guide elements operating at high sliding speeds and in applications where external lubrication is minimal or not available.
Unfilled PTFE generally exhibits lower wear resistance and may undergo dimensional changes under mechanical load. To address these characteristics, PTFE is available in various filled grades that allow the material to be tailored to specific application requirements. Common fillers include bronze, glass fibers, carbon, molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), and other solid lubricating additives, which enhance wear resistance, mechanical strength, and dimensional stability.
PTFE semi-finished products, both unfilled and filled, are available in different stock forms and are suitable for precision machining. Thanks to the wide range of material options, PTFE is frequently combined with other sealing materials to create reliable and application-specific sealing solutions.
