1. Notice on the use and processing of personal data

Tesnila Bogadi d.o.o. (hereinafter: the “Controller”) may use and process the personal data of users of the website www.bogadi.si (hereinafter: the “Website”), obtained upon registration or login to the Website, in accordance with the applicable personal data protection regulations (Personal Data Protection Act ZVOP-1, Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 94/07, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of personal data).

Various workshops, seminars, networking events, and webinars may be announced on the Website, organized either by the Controller or by another entity. The Controller may use and process personal data collected for the above-mentioned purposes, to which users agree upon registration by accepting the specifically related general terms, which may be published separately.

In accordance with ZVOP-1, the Controller may process personal data if the individual’s personal consent has been given. Personal consent is a voluntary declaration of will by which an individual agrees that their personal data may be processed for a specific purpose, based on information provided by the Controller. Consent may be given in written, oral, or other appropriate form.

On the Website and its related subpages, personal consent is deemed to be given when a visitor fills in a form, ticks an empty checkbox, and clicks the “CONFIRM” / “SEND” / “CONTINUE TO PAYPAL” / “BUY NOW” button or another similar button, thereby agreeing to and accepting the valid and published general terms and conditions.

The Controller processes personal data for the purposes of:

  • Customer segmentation
  • Mass email distribution
  • News notifications
  • Event invitations
  • Prize game notifications

  • Sending printed and digital promotional materials
  • Employment offers

Processing of personal data means any operation or set of operations performed in relation to personal data, whether automated or part of a manual filing system, including in particular: collection, acquisition, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, communication, dissemination or other making available, classification or linking, blocking, anonymization, erasure, or destruction. Processing may be manual or automated.

3. Consent to the processing of personal data

It is deemed that the user, by ticking an empty checkbox on the Website and clicking the “Confirm” button or a similar button confirming acceptance of the stated general terms, provides personal consent for the use and processing of personal data as required under personal data protection regulations. Based on this consent, the Controller may process personal data for the purposes described in Section 2.

4. User’s right to request cessation of personal data use

The user may at any time request in writing or by another agreed method (via email or post) that the Controller permanently (deletion) or temporarily cease using their personal data for direct marketing purposes. The Controller will, within 15 (fifteen) days, appropriately prevent the use of personal data for direct marketing and will notify the user of this within a further 5 (five) days in writing or by another agreed method (e.g., email).

5. Protection of personal data

The Controller will process and handle personal data in accordance with personal data protection regulations (ZVOP-1, Official Gazette No. 94/2007 and Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

To protect personal data, the Controller will implement organizational, technical, and other appropriate procedures and measures to prevent unauthorized destruction, alteration, loss, or unauthorized processing. If the Website contains links to external (third-party) websites not affiliated with the Website, the Controller assumes no responsibility for data protection on those sites. The Controller is not liable for errors resulting from the submission of incorrect or false data during Website registration.

6. Retention period of personal data

Provided personal data will be stored and used only for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were processed. After fulfillment of the processing purpose, the Controller will ensure that access to collected personal data is blocked and that the data are deleted upon the user’s request within the period specified in Section 4.

7. Cookies

The Website places a so-called “cookie” in the visitor’s or user’s computer browser. Cookies are text files stored on the user’s computer that enable analysis of visits, number of visits, and user interests. A cookie contains basic data about a user’s visit to a specific website (e.g., the name of the visited website). The cookie content is stored on the user’s computer in a special directory. By double-clicking the file, more detailed information about the visited website, date, and time of the visit can be obtained.

Users may delete, disable, or conditionally use cookies; however, this may prevent full use of Website functionalities.

The Controller may link personal data provided during registration with data stored in cookies. Cookie-generated data, separately or combined with personal data, may be used to evaluate Website use, prepare activity reports, perform statistical analyses, analyze purchasing habits, develop direct marketing approaches based on purchasing behavior, provide additional services related to Website use, and conduct other direct marketing activities.

It is deemed that by registering on the Website, the user consents to cookie installation and provides personal consent for the use and processing of personal and other data, including the processing and linking of cookie-derived data with the user’s personal data for direct marketing of the Controller’s services, products, or other activities.
